The TOLC as an Admission Test
The TOLC (Test Online CISIA) is an admission test created by CISIA. It is used by universities to evaluate the acquired knowledge necessary to pursue a degree.
To find out the type of TOLC you need to take, read the admission notice of your degree course on the university website. For support, please contact the International Student Office.
The TOLC as an Orientation Tool
You can take the TOLC starting from the second-to-last year of high school to help you choose your study path.

TOLC types
The TOLC is a unique test, different for each student.
Every TOLC consists of multiple-choice questions, each of which has only one correct answer.
Each section must be completed within a set time limit.
There are different types of TOLCs, each designed for a specific field of study.
The TOLC topics are listed in the syllabus.

The TOLC at a glance
A TOLC can be held in two different formats:
- TOLC@UNI: in university classrooms
- TOLC@HOME: remotely

You can take a TOLC held by any university, even if it is different from the one you want to apply to.
Your TOLC result will be valid for any degree course that requires that type of TOLC for admission.
You can take a TOLC from February to November, choosing a date that meets the deadlines set by the admission notice of your degree course.

Universities open the TOLC booking throughout the year and the calendar is constantly updated.
You can take the same type of TOLC once every calendar month.
From the day after your TOLC, you will be able to book for the next calendar month.
Every TOLC costs 35 Euros and you can pay this fee by:
- credit card
- bank payment slip (MAV)

After you have finished the TOLC you will see your score, total and for each section.
You will find the pdf with your results in your CISIA Student Area:
- right after your TOLC, if you have taken a TOLC@UNI
- 48 hours after your TOLC starting from 7 PM (Italian time zone), if you have taken a TOLC@HOME
Follow the instructions on the admission notice of your degree course to complete the enrolment procedure.
